The most precious of all the truffles, this jewel of nature is found in Italy’s Piedmont region. It is famous for its distinct aroma and intense, earthy flavor. Usually served fresh, finely sliced over a finished dish such as pasta, risotto, or eggs. The heat of the cooked dish is enough to release the aroma of the Truffle.
The season is short from October to December,
depending on the weather in Italy.
